Is Google working on an Online Storage Software?

Rumor is that Google is working on some kind of Online Storage Software called Web Drive. Of course this has been a rumor for quite some already but now there are some more hints again leading in this direction. In the current Mac version of Picasa there actually is link to a Service called Google Web Drive included. Take a look at this Screenshot from Slashgear:
