Google released Google Earth for the iPhone/iPod touch and it is really good. It takes advantage of the iPhone's screen and more. So you can tilt the phone to adjust your view. You can use 'My location' to see, where you currently are. Then Google's local search comes quite in handy. Also Panoramio for geo-located pictures and Wikipedia for informative artciles have been included.
