Google brings geolocation API for Gears

The geolocation API for Gears is available for mobile phones and desktop machines. The thing is that the mobile version is currently limited to Windows Mobile phones. Very interesting due to the reason that the first Android phone should launch later this year...

However this API allows to find out the location of a mobile phone and use this info for e.g. Google Maps. It's a good thing that Google makes this API now public to use for developers. And two startups, Rummble and lastminute, already implemented this into their services.
